Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 6239. Hand wound mechanical Valjoux 72B movement. 37mm steel case. Steel 200uph calibrated tachymeter bezel. Black T swiss dial with silver sub dials encased by plexi glass. Originally the word ‘Daytona’ on the dial was white when it left the factory but like the Mk1 ‘Double Pink’ ‘Patent Pending’ Rolex Sea-Dwellers of the same era, a flaw in the paint pigmentation caused a colour change over time to the very attractive light blue.
